There is a Comedy Bar in the town I live in and recently I took up a job there. Starting out was pritty easy, getting drinks ready for the crew and preformers, checking the microphone and getting towels ready for when the preformers where on and coming off...but then I got a promotion (by chance). The manager of the Comdey Bar happened to hear me joke around with some of the crew, he must of liked what he heard because he gave me a promotion...I became the warm up act! It was nerve wrecking the first night, going out on stage and seeing so many people sitting there just drinking, eating and chatting to eachother, but when I walked on all eyes were on me...now I dont really like alot of attention so it was pritty weird to have like 50 or more people just staring at me. The gig went pritty well, I got big laughs and alot of claps but I didnt really feel I got alot out of it, the warm up act only stays on for 10 to 15 minutes. It wasnt just the time limit that made me feel I didnt get alot out of it, I never saw myself as being a funny person. Sure I joked around alot and shared SOME jokes with friends but that was really it...in the Comedy Bar I just felt that the audience were laughing for the shake of laughing.
